Vietnam’s Army pledges to support Cambodia’s in all circumstances

 PHNOM PENH, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam’s People Army vowed to support the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) in all circumstances to strengthen and expand the bilateral cooperation between the two neighboring nations’ armies, Do Baty, deputy minister of Vietnamese ministry of defense, said here on Friday afternoon.
   During a meeting with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, Do Baty, who is also the chief of General Staff of Vietnam’s People Army, said the Vietnam’s People Army still continued good cooperation with Cambodian army and supported Cambodia to solve out border conflict with Thailand peacefully.
   He added that Vietnam profoundly thanked Cambodia for its close cooperation in a bid to search for the remains of Vietnamese soldiers, who had lost their lives during the wartime in Cambodia in 1979, and has subsequently repatriated those remains to Vietnam.
   Meanwhile, Hun Sen has highly appreciated for good relations and cooperation between the Cambodian and Vietnamese armies and thanked Vietnamese army for constantly supporting Cambodia.
   The premier also pledged to accelerate searching for the remains of Vietnamese soldiers in Cambodia.
   Thousands of volunteered Vietnamese soldiers had lost their lives during the wartime in Cambodia in 1979.
   During the visit, Do Baty had also met with Gen. Tea Banh, Minister of Defense, and Gen. Pol Saroeun, Commander-in-Chief of RCAF, for talks.
